  • Where Stillness Finds You: Inside Lakeside Boheme Inn

By Sakshi Shah TRAVEL Where Stillness Finds You: Inside Lakeside Boheme Inn By Sakshi Shah 14 April 2026 Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Tucked away in the lush greens of Khopoli, Lakeside Boheme Inn feels less like a destination and more like a quiet shift in pace. Rooted in the idea of conscious luxury, it offers an experience that feels immersive and intentional, where comfort exists in harmony with nature rather than standing apart from it. Spread across a 70-acre estate with private lakes, waterfalls, and dense greenery, the space feels expansive yet personal. The moment you step in, there’s a pause. The noise fades, the air feels lighter, and you find yourself slowing down without even trying. Born during the stillness of 2020, the retreat came from a deeply personal intention to share what was once a private escape. That sense of authenticity continues to shape the experience. Nothing feels overly designed or forced. Instead, the space unfolds intuitively, much like the landscape it sits on. The idea of Bohemian here goes beyond design. It reflects a way of living that is free, unstructured, and rooted in being present. The architecture mirrors this thought, blending rustic textures with open, breathable spaces that let nature lead, creating comfort that feels thoughtful rather than excessive. The lakeside plays a central role in shaping the mood. Mornings begin with still water and soft light, while the day flows into slow activities like kayaking or simply sitting by the edge. It’s calming in a way that feels effortless and uncurated. As you settle in, the stays reveal themselves as an extension of this philosophy. There’s a mix to choose from, depending on how you want to experience the space. The villas , including Boho House and House of Bohemian, are ideal for longer, shared stays, offering spacious layouts, private pools, and a more secluded, easy kind of comfort. Following this, the property also introduces its newly launched luxury line, adding a more elevated layer to the experience. With details like private jacuzzis, warm interiors, and open views of the lake, the stays feel thoughtfully put together without taking away from the natural setting. Mornings here unfold slowly, with the stillness of the water and soft light adding a quiet sense of luxury that feels deeply connected to nature. For something simpler, the rooms carry forward the warmth of the original homestay, with cozy interiors and easy access to the outdoors. If you’re drawn to something more offbeat, the glamping tents and Boho-style tents bring in that outdoor-living experience with added comfort, while container-style stays offer a more design-forward edge. What makes the space feel instantly alive is its openness to pets, adding a warmth that feels natural and comforting. And if you’re lucky, you’ll be welcomed by Doobie, the in-house dog and charmer, who has a way of making guests feel instantly at home. It’s these small moments that make the environment feel more relaxed and real. This ease carries into how you spend your time here. Some moments are quiet and personal, while others are more playful. You might find yourself trying bottle painting, joining in for a casual karaoke evening, or simply walking through the property with no fixed plan. During the rains, group treks through the greens leading up to the lake become a highlight, offering a chance to pause and take it all in. Even the idea of a digital detox happens naturally here. You’re not told to disconnect, but somewhere between the lake, the open spaces, and the overall rhythm of the place, your phone becomes less important. There’s a certain ease to it all, where comfort never takes away from the simplicity of the experience. The food follows the same easy philosophy. What began as simple, home-style meals has grown into a more curated café experience, offering Indian, Chinese, Continental, and Italian cuisines. There’s a sense of familiarity in every meal, balanced with occasional pop-ups and barbecue setups that add variety without overcomplicating things. The space has also begun to evolve into something more intimate and celebratory. Having hosted one of their first weddings on the property, the retreat opened itself to a new kind of experience. With the lake as a backdrop and the openness of the land, it creates a setting that feels personal and unforced. The team now welcomes similar gatherings, offering couples the chance to host close-knit, lakeside weddings that feel meaningful rather than grand. At its core, the space reflects something deeply personal. As founder Danish puts it, Bohemian was never a trend, but a way of living rooted in conscious freedom and self-expression. That philosophy quietly shapes the retreat, allowing guests to slow down, connect, and experience a more soulful kind of luxury. And then there’s the people behind it all. The team brings a warmth that ties everything together. It’s attentive without being overbearing, thoughtful without feeling staged. You feel taken care of, but in a way that still allows you to have your own space. By the time you leave Lakeside Boheme-Inn, it’s not just the place that stays with you, but the feeling it creates. A reminder that comfort doesn’t always need to be loud, sometimes, it’s found in slowing down and simply being. • AVASA Hyderabad: Redefining Contemporary Luxury In The Heart Of The City

By Deepshika Reddy TRAVEL AVASA Hyderabad: Redefining Contemporary Luxury In The Heart Of The City By Deepshika Reddy 17 August 2026 Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement A stay at AVASA Hyderabad I've always believed the easiest way to judge a hotel is by how much time you actually want to spend in it. Some hotels become little more than a place to sleep after a busy day of exploring a city. You check in, leave in the morning, return late at night and barely notice where you're staying. Others have a way of slowing you down. They make you linger over breakfast, take the long route back to your room, spend an extra hour by the pool, or simply sit by the window and watch the city move beneath you. My two days at AVASA Hyderabad belonged firmly in the second category. Located in the heart of Hyderabad's bustling HITEC City, AVASA sits amongst glass office towers, technology parks and the constant rhythm of a neighbourhood that rarely seems to pause. Arriving there, I expected what most people would expect from a luxury business hotel: efficiency, comfort and convenience. What I didn't expect was how quickly it would start feeling less like a hotel and more like an experience. The first thing that struck me wasn't necessarily the scale of the property but the sense of calm that existed despite being surrounded by one of Hyderabad's busiest districts. The moment I stepped into the lobby, the city's noise seemed to fade away. Natural light poured into the expansive reception area, contemporary interiors balanced elegance with warmth, and there was an immediate feeling that everything had been designed to make guests slow down rather than rush through. Checking into my room felt effortless, and within minutes I found myself standing by the large windows looking out across the city skyline. The view stretched far beyond the busy streets below, and over the next two mornings it would become one of my favourite parts of the stay. There's something oddly satisfying about watching a city wake up from several floors above it. The following morning, I found myself awake earlier than usual, coffee in hand, watching the first rays of sunlight gradually illuminate Hyderabad's skyline. The iconic Durgam Cheruvu Cable Bridge slowly emerged from the morning haze, catching shades of gold as the city came alive around it. It wasn't part of any itinerary or scheduled activity, yet it became one of the most memorable moments of my stay. The room itself was comfortable, contemporary and thoughtfully designed, but what stayed with me most were the small details. A beautifully arranged welcome hamper greeted me on arrival, filled with premium treats and thoughtful touches that immediately made the stay feel personal. Later that evening, a surprise dessert was delivered to my room, a gesture that felt genuine rather than performative. Luxury is often associated with grand gestures, but more often than not, it's the smaller moments that leave the strongest impression. As I began exploring the property, I realised AVASA offers far more than what first meets the eye. What initially appeared to be a polished business hotel gradually revealed different sides of its personality. One moment you're surrounded by conference spaces, corporate meetings and business travellers. Next, you're relaxing beside the pool, enjoying a leisurely meal or discovering a quiet corner that feels completely removed from the city outside. One of my favourite discoveries was the pool area. Tucked away amidst lush greenery, it felt surprisingly tranquil for a hotel located in the centre of a major metropolitan district. The gentle movement of water, the surrounding palms and the absence of urban noise created an atmosphere that felt almost resort-like. I found myself spending far longer there than I had originally planned, simply enjoying the calm. The spa offered a similar sense of escape. After spending most of the day exploring the property and documenting my experience, the treatment provided a welcome opportunity to slow down completely. Soft lighting, soothing aromas and attentive therapists transformed what could have been a routine spa appointment into a genuinely restorative experience. It was one of those rare moments during travel when you stop thinking about schedules, deadlines and content creation and simply enjoy where you are. Of course, no hotel experience is complete without its culinary offerings, and AVASA quickly proved that food is one of its strongest assets. Dinner at Mekong became one of the highlights of my stay. Inspired by the diverse cuisines of countries connected by the Mekong River, the restaurant offers a menu that celebrates Asian flavours without sacrificing authenticity. The atmosphere strikes a balance between sophistication and comfort, making it equally suited for a business dinner, a special occasion or a relaxed evening meal. Over the course of dinner, I sampled a variety of dishes ranging from sushi and seafood to classic Asian favourites. What impressed me most was the consistency. Every dish felt carefully prepared, balanced and thoughtfully presented. Rather than relying on theatrical presentation or unnecessary complexity, the food focused on flavour, which ultimately made the experience far more memorable. Breakfast the following morning offered an entirely different experience. At Pi, AVASA's all day dining restaurant, the scale of the buffet was immediately impressive. Yet despite the extensive selection, it never felt overwhelming. Freshly prepared local dishes sat alongside international favourites, allowing guests to either indulge or keep things simple depending on their mood. Breakfasts often become forgettable parts of hotel stays, but this was one of those rare occasions where I found myself taking my time. Instead of rushing through the meal, I lingered over coffee, sampled more dishes than I intended to and simply enjoyed the slower pace of the morning. As evening approached on my second day, I headed to Noya, the hotel's rooftop venue. If Mekong is about flavour and Pi is about variety, Noya is about atmosphere. The rooftop offers sweeping views of Hyderabad's skyline, and as the sun begins to set, the city transforms into a sea of lights stretching across the horizon. Conversations become longer, meals feel more relaxed and the pace of the day naturally slows down. It was the perfect place to end my stay and reflect on everything I had experienced over the previous forty eight hours. By the time I packed my bags, I realised my favourite memories weren't tied to any single standout moment. They were the accumulation of smaller experiences. The sunrise over the city. The unexpected calm of the pool deck. The thoughtful gestures waiting in my room. The comfort of returning after a long day. The flavours at Mekong. The relaxed breakfasts at Pi. The skyline views from Noya. Individually, they're simple moments. Together, they create the character of the hotel. What impressed me most about AVASA is that it never tries too hard. It doesn't rely solely on extravagant luxury or dramatic displays. Instead, it focuses on delivering a consistently thoughtful experience across every aspect of a guest's stay. For business travellers, it offers efficiency, location and excellent facilities. For leisure travellers, it offers comfort, relaxation and memorable dining experiences. Most importantly, it manages to combine both worlds without either feeling like an afterthought. I arrived expecting a luxury business hotel. I left feeling as though I had discovered a destination in its own right. And perhaps that's still the simplest way to judge any hotel. Not by how impressive it looks when you first walk through its doors, but by how reluctant you feel to leave when it's finally time to check out. L'utopia Verdict: AVASA successfully bridges the gap between a luxury business hotel and a memorable lifestyle destination. Whether you're visiting Hyderabad for work, leisure or a bit of both, it's a property that encourages you to stay a little longer than planned. • The Tall Trees, Munnar: Where The Forest Becomes The Stay

By Sakshi Shah TRAVEL The Tall Trees, Munnar: Where The Forest Becomes The Stay By Sakshi Shah 1 October 2026 Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement There are holidays you remember for the places you visited, and then there are the ones you remember for how they made you feel. My stay at The WGH Tall Trees in Munnar belongs firmly to the latter. Munnar has a way of slowing everything down. Set high in Kerala’s Western Ghats, the hill station is surrounded by rolling tea plantations, misty mountains and that unmistakable coolness in the air. The Tall Trees takes that feeling a little further, placing you right in the middle of the landscape rather than simply giving you a view of it. The name is quite literal. Spread across 66 acres of forest, the property is home to 26 cottages nestled among towering trees, with the landscape becoming an effortless part of the stay. My first impression was exactly what the name promised: trees everywhere. Stepping outside the cottage , there were no crowds or city sounds to break the view, just tall trees, open skies and the kind of chilly, rainy Munnar weather that makes you want to stay wrapped up a little longer. The cottages themselves feel wonderfully suited to their surroundings, with private balconies that open out into the forest. The property is large enough to feel like its own little world. We were welcomed with a soothing drink before taking a buggy ride through the grounds to our cottage. By the end of the stay, though, we had stopped using it. Walking from the restaurant back to the cottage became one of those unexpectedly enjoyable parts of the day. There were plantations, winding paths, a small trek route and constantly changing views to discover along the way. The Tall Trees also has dedicated nature trails, including the Shola Trail , which takes guests through its forest landscape and past streams, native flora and birdlife. It is the sort of place where even a walk without an agenda becomes an experience. The same connection to nature carries into the dining experience. Hill Spice , the property's restaurant, is surrounded by the forest, making even a simple meal feel wonderfully removed from everyday life. Its menu spans Kerala, South Indian, North Indian and Continental cuisine, with an emphasis on fresh, locally sourced ingredients. For me, the Kerala food was the highlight. There is something especially comforting about sitting down to a warm, generous meal while the weather outside is cold and rainy. Breakfast was just as satisfying, with idlis, Kerala curries and Continental options. And then there was the coffee. Somewhere between the trees, the weather and that first cup of the morning, I genuinely forgot about everything else for a while. We were also celebrating my parents’ birthday and anniversary during the stay, and the team arranged a beautiful setup for them at the restaurant. It was thoughtful without feeling overdone, and reflected the warmth we experienced from the staff throughout the stay. Everyone was incredibly kind and helpful, adding a personal touch to a property that is otherwise wonderfully expansive. Of course, Munnar deserves time beyond the hotel too. Tea is inseparable from the destination, and we spent part of our stay visiting the plantations, learning about how tea is made and tasting different varieties. We even brought some back for friends and family. Munnar’s tea estates have shaped the region’s identity for generations and remain one of its most recognisable landscapes. Yet what stayed with me most was how little I felt the need to rush. The Tall Trees has an Ayurvedic spa , swimming pool, recreational spaces and a host of nature-led experiences, but its greatest luxury, for me, was simply having the time to wander. There is something beautifully uncomplicated about spending a day walking between your cottage and the restaurant, stopping to look at the trees, watching the weather change, eating something warm and letting the afternoon stretch out. Munnar gives you the mountains, the tea gardens and the winding roads. The Tall Trees gives you somewhere to pause within them. I left wondering how easily I could have stayed for a week. Not because there was more left to tick off, but because the atmosphere had made me forget everything I usually feel the need to keep up with. And perhaps that is the rarest kind of holiday: one where, for a little while, you don't feel like you are away from life. You simply feel beautifully removed from it. • 64 Floors Up: Lebua At State Tower Perspective

By Shriniwas Kodape TRAVEL 64 Floors Up: Lebua At State Tower Perspective By Shriniwas Kodape 4 October 2025 Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Bangkok is a city that rarely lowers its voice. It moves fast, runs hot, and hums from the minute you land. But at Lebua at State Tower , the noise slips away. You rise above it, literally, and suddenly the city isn’t pressing in on you anymore. It’s laid out like a map, lights stretching to the horizon. The gold dome is already part of the skyline’s vocabulary. From street level it feels like a landmark; from the inside, it’s a threshold. Step past the doors and the chaos outside is replaced with marble, quiet air, and the faint sound of your own footsteps. They’re high-rise apartments in the sky, elevated sanctuaries with distinct living areas and expansive bathrooms designed for indulgence. The Chao Phraya shimmers far below, boats leaving thin trails of light as the skyline flickers and bends with the humidity. You can stand there for an hour and still feel like you’ve only just arrived. Still, most people don’t only come to lebua for the suites. They come to the rooftop. Sirocco with its Mediterranean plates and river views. Sky Bar, where cocktails glow in neon and the wind brushes past you like a reminder that you’re 64 floors up. Mezzaluna, two Michelin stars under the dome. Breeze, with its illuminated staircase pulling you toward the open air. Each one feels like a stage, each one delivers a performance. Service is attentive in the way you hope for but rarely get. Staff remember details. They anticipate. At peak sunset hours, the rooftop can feel crowded, tourists chasing the same view you came for, but the staff move with pace and the mood never drops. The suites embody a refined sense of classic luxury, their design offering a serene counterbalance to the dazzling vibrance of the rooftop experience. Space remains the quiet luxury here. Rooms this big, this high up, in the middle of Bangkok are rare. The pool and gym exist, but they’re not the headline. The real luxury is your own balcony in the early morning, coffee in hand, watching the river catch the light while the city slowly wakes up below. Lebua at State Tower stands boldly as an icon, fully aware of its stature and embracing it with effortless grandeur. There’s glamour, there’s spectacle, and there’s always the sense that you’re playing a small role in something larger. But if you want to see Bangkok without being in the middle of it, if you want to trade the city’s heat for altitude and space, this is where you do it. Verdict: Come for the rooftop, stay for the balcony. • The New Foundations Of Style, According To Invogue

The New Foundations Of Style, According To Invogue By Sakshi Shah The New Foundations Of Style, According To Invogue 27 June 2026 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement There was a time when getting dressed started with the outfit. Today, it starts with how you want to feel. Whether it's the jeans we reach for on repeat, the bra we forget we're even wearing, or the swimsuit we pack for a long-awaited escape, comfort has quietly become fashion's biggest luxury. Looking good still matters, but feeling supported has become just as important. The pieces we value most today aren't always the ones demanding attention. They're the ones that fit beautifully, move effortlessly and leave us feeling our most confident. It's a shift that's reshaping the way we build our wardrobes, and Invogue has been part of that conversation from the very beginning. Known for its shapewear, lingerie and everyday essentials, the brand has always focused on thoughtful design that puts comfort and confidence first. Every piece is created with the belief that great style begins with a strong foundation, one that supports you without asking you to compromise on aesthetics. That same philosophy naturally extends into Invogue's swimwear collection . Instead of treating swimwear as something reserved for holidays alone, the brand approaches it as another everyday essential. The result is a collection that combines flattering silhouettes, considered construction and effortless versatility, making each piece feel just as at home beyond the beach as it does by the water. One of the standout pieces is the Plunge Neck Shapewear Swimsuit . With its clean neckline and sculpting fit, it strikes the balance between elegance and ease. It feels refined without trying too hard, which is exactly what modern vacation dressing is all about. Styled with wide-leg linen trousers, an oversized shirt or a flowing skirt, it transitions effortlessly into a bodysuit for lunch by the coast or an evening stroll through a resort town. For those drawn to a more active aesthetic, the Zipper Shapewear Swimsuit offers a fresh alternative. The zip-front detail adds a contemporary edge while providing extra support and coverage. It works just as well for swimming, paddleboarding or spending a full day by the water, while still feeling polished enough to pair with shorts or a sarong afterwards. What makes both silhouettes particularly relevant right now is how naturally they fit into today's travel wardrobe. We are packing fewer pieces but expecting more from them. A swimsuit is no longer limited to the beach. It's layered under relaxed tailoring, worn beneath breezy shirts and styled as part of an entire resort look. Versatility has become one of fashion's quiet luxuries. That evolution also reflects a broader shift in the way we think about confidence. Increasingly, it's less about chasing perfection and more about choosing pieces that make us feel comfortable in our own skin. Thoughtful construction, quality fabrics and timeless silhouettes are becoming the details that matter most, shaping the way we experience getting dressed every day. Invogue understands that confidence starts with the pieces closest to us. By bringing its shapewear expertise into swimwear, the brand isn't simply introducing another collection. It's extending a design philosophy built around ease, support and modern femininity. The result is swimwear that adapts to real life, moves effortlessly between different moments and feels relevant long after a single holiday has ended. As fashion continues to celebrate individuality over convention, the strongest style statements are often the ones that feel the most natural. With its considered approach to design, Invogue reminds us that great style doesn't begin with trends. It begins with the confidence that comes from wearing pieces that truly work for you. • The Peninsula Bangkok: Grace Beside The Chao Phraya

By Shriniwas Kodape TRAVEL The Peninsula Bangkok: Grace Beside The Chao Phraya By Shriniwas Kodape 4 October 2025 Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement The river was moving slow that evening, heavy with the weight of the day’s heat. Lantern light caught the ripples in soft gold, as if the water itself was telling you to pause. The boat from The Peninsula came gliding sleek, quiet, and precise. No rush. No spectacle. Just an unshakable sense of arrival. The moment you step aboard, Bangkok’s chaos loosens its grip. By the time the teak deck meets the private pier, you’ve already shifted into another rhythm. The Peninsula Bangkok doesn’t need to prove anything. Its presence is felt before you’ve even crossed the threshold, a low, steady hum of refinement that lingers in the air. The lobby greets you with polished marble, towering ceilings, and the kind of service choreography that’s seamless yet invisible. Every movement here feels deliberate, designed to let the city stay outside while you find your footing in its quieter counterpoint. The rooms are a masterclass in understatement. Wood-paneled walls, soft cream upholstery, and floor-to-ceiling windows that make the Chao Phraya your personal backdrop. By day, the light pours in with a painter’s precision. By night, the city’s lights scatter across the river like a constellation you can almost reach. It’s the kind of view you don’t just look at, you live with it. The heart of The Peninsula is not just in its architecture but in how it frames the river. From the infinity pool, the water seems to merge with the horizon, boats slipping past as you drift between laps. The spa carries this same calm forward soft light, muted tones, and treatments that feel both grounded and transportive. It’s Bangkok, distilled into stillness. Dining here is a journey of its own. Mei Jiang is the crown jewel, where Cantonese cuisine arrives as an art form precise, delicate, but never overworked. Each course feels like an act in a well-paced performance, and the service moves with the rhythm of conversation, never intruding, always anticipating. Thiptara, tucked beside the river under a canopy of trees, leans into Thai tradition without staging it as theatre. Here, the spices bloom naturally, the flavours speak for themselves, and the Chao Phraya becomes part of the soundtrack. The River Café & Terrace , with its open-air setting, offers mornings where the coffee is strong, the breeze steady, and the city feels comfortably distant. Every experience at The Peninsula Bangkok feels connected by an invisible thread, a consistency in tempo and tone. Whether you’re taking afternoon tea in The Lobby, boarding the hotel’s boat to cross into the city’s pulse, or simply sitting by the water at dusk, there’s a sense that time is being measured differently here. This is a property built for people who understand that luxury is not about excess it’s about precision. About the way a welcome drink arrives at the exact moment you begin to think of one, or how the staff remember the name you only mentioned once. It’s in the silence between exchanges, the balance between attentiveness and discretion. Evenings at The Peninsula have their own gravity. As the light softens, the river takes on a mirror-like stillness. The city’s skyline, just across the water, becomes a shimmering silhouette, reminding you that you’re still in Bangkok, even if it feels like you’ve stepped slightly outside of it. There’s an intimacy to this separation, as though you’ve been given a private lens through which to watch the city breathe. The Peninsula Bangkok is not a place you simply stay, it's a place that redefines your relationship with the city. It invites you to see Bangkok not as a constant surge of energy, but as a series of moments worth lingering in. And when you finally leave, boarding that quiet boat once more, you realize the river has held your time here like a secret. • How Soha Ali Balances Authenticity With Content Creation

How Soha Ali Balances Authenticity With Content Creation by Akshra Khandelwal How Soha Ali Balances Authenticity With Content Creation 1 September 2023 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement In the ever-evolving realm of social media, where trends rise and fall like fleeting waves, there emerges a dynamic influencer who navigates this digital landscape with grace and innovation. Soha Ali, a name synonymous with creativity and authenticity, graciously sat down for an exclusive interview, offering a glimpse into her journey, inspirations, and aspirations. "It's going pretty well, by God's grace," Soha beams, setting the tone for our conversation. She reflects on the recent trend that swept through social media, the "Barbie mania," a phenomenon that captured the virtual world's attention for a month. With a chuckle, she admits, "It was good fun while it lasted, but I'm relieved it's getting over now!" Beyond the ephemeral trends, Soha's career is on a steady ascent. Transitioning content creation from a passion to her full-time pursuit has opened doors to refine her art and connect with her audience on a deeper level. Rewinding the clock to 2020, Soha reminisces about the birth of her journey. "It was in 2020 when short-form video content on social media platforms was just taking off, with TikTok taking the lead," she shares. The platform's meteoric rise was marked by its subsequent ban, leading many content creators to pivot to Instagram. For Soha, this shift marked a pivotal moment. "I remember posting my first Reel in late 2020 just out of curiosity, which I like to call a happy accident. It blew up," she recounts, the spark of that accidental success still evident in her eyes. Since that serendipitous start, she's found her purpose in content creation—an avenue that offers community, creativity, and financial stability. Her content palette is as diverse as her influences, ranging from beauty and skincare to entertainment and lifestyle, all underscored by a strong focus on Indian fashion and aesthetics. "My phone is my workstation when it comes to planning my content," Soha reveals. "I note what other creators are doing, current trends, what my audience asks of me through comments and DMs, and other ideas I get while browsing through Instagram, YouTube, and Pinterest." This meticulously crafted approach is a testament to her dedication to delivering quality content that resonates. Reflecting on her Evolution, Soha shares, "When I first started making content, it was primarily reactionary, heavily influenced by what others like me were doing and current trends." Yet, growth beckoned, and she embraced a more insightful and informative content style. "Over time, as I learned more about content creation, my present and potential audience, and what I would like to show people vs. what they want or need, it evolved to incorporate more helpful content like skincare, haircare, informed monologues about issues I felt were important, makeup tips, etc." Soha's Evolution extends to her tools and techniques. "It also became more professional since I just used my phone and a ring light when I started, but now I use more and more equipment and hire professionals for significant shoots." The journey from smartphone to studio symbolises her commitment to delivering polished, engaging content that captivates her audience. Amidst her trove of beauty insights, Soha imparts a gem of wisdom: "Apply makeup through your fingers and not a brush whenever possible. It makes it easier to spread, gives a more even finish, and helps you understand the correct amount." Her advice is grounded in practicality and self-care, evident in a creator who knows her craft's nuances. As someone frequently on the go, Soha reveals the essentials that find a place in her bag. "My trusted sunscreen, lipstick, mini perfume, a wooden comb, and some wet wipes," she lists, a minimalist kit that ensures she's well-prepared without compromising her signature style. In the realm of aspirations, Soha's eyes light up with a dream. "My dream collab (and please don't judge me for it!) is to work with Sanjay Leela Bhansali," she confesses with an endearing laugh. Her admiration for the filmmaker's visual artistry and character-driven narratives is palpable. "I absolutely love his films and his style of creating vivid visual art," she shares, her voice carrying a tinge of excitement. Such an opportunity would be a fusion of her two loves—content creation and cinematic storytelling. Amidst her achievements, Soha humbly imparts a piece of wisdom for budding creators: "There's nothing more rewarding than a free conscience as a creator and knowing you're doing the best you can without compromising anything or being what you are not." Her advice echoes her journey, marked by authenticity, growth, and a commitment to her craft. As our conversation with Soha Ali draws to a close, it's evident that her path is one defined by resilience, creativity and an unwavering belief in her art. With each post and each interaction, she's crafting a digital legacy that speaks not just to trends but to the essence of self-expression. In a world characterised by rapid change, Soha stands as a beacon of authenticity, reminding us all that during the digital storm, it's the genuine voices that truly resonate. • Behind The Brushes: How Diksha Sachdev Redefined The Art Of Makeup

Behind The Brushes: How Diksha Sachdev Redefined The Art Of Makeup By Akshra Khandelwal Behind The Brushes: How Diksha Sachdev Redefined The Art Of Makeup 31 August 2023 FASHION Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement Diksha Sachdev has risen as a shining star in the world of beauty and makeup, where artistry meets inspiration. With her vibrant Instagram account and now venturing into the world of YouTube, she has captured the hearts of makeup enthusiasts across the globe. In an exclusive interview with our magazine, Diksha shares her journey, her inspirations, and her dreams for the future. "How's everything going?" I asked, to which she replied with contagious excitement, "Everything's going great. We're finally expanding our business and tapping into YouTube, and I couldn't be more thrilled." It was evident that Diksha's passion for makeup was a creative outlet and a potential career path she was enthusiastically embracing. Her journey began around three years ago when she got her hands on the iconic James Charles X Morphe eyeshadow palette. "I knew then that my first post had to use this eyeshadow palette. So I created a warm, colourful look using it. I was so nervous about the judgement, but I went with my gut, and luckily, it was very well received," Diksha shared with a smile. When asked about her makeup inspiration, she credited the likes of Malvika Sitlani, James Charles, and Nikkie Tutorials. "Through Malvika's content, I learnt to keep up with the Indian beauty industry; James Charles taught me how to step out of the box and create uniqueness; Nikkie taught me patience and precision." Her process of creating a new look is a testament to her dedication. "I have been passionate about makeup since college; since then, I kept trying different looks and products with the help of beauty gurus. After a few months, I decided to show my passion towards makeup to people on Instagram. This happened for the sole reason of showcasing my skills," she revealed. Lockdown allowed her to be more consistent and resilient, even in the face of minimal results. Her perseverance paid off when she joined a makeup school, took on clients, hosted online workshops, and proved to her parents that content creation could lead to a stable career. "Little did I know then that I could make a full-time career out of it. I've learnt, 'If there's a passion within you, the mind finds a way to work things out,'" she expressed with profound wisdom. As we delved into her daily makeup essentials, Diksha shared her must-haves: sunscreen, a concealer of her shade, a cream blush, loose powder, mascara, and lip gloss. And her current favourite product? "Wow, that's quite difficult. If I had to choose one, it'd be the Smashbox halo healthy glow one-tinted moisturiser," she revealed. For aspiring creators, Diksha's advice is empowering. "Be confident in your skill, do not be afraid of judgement, don't be shy to ask for help; I still ask for help/gain knowledge from fellow creators, be humble, do not get disheartened if your content doesn't work well. All you have to do is remind yourself why you started in the first place and up-skill yourself." Looking ahead, her goals for her Instagram account reflect her dedication to her audience. "I intend to create more content and upscale with time. I also love helping my audience with product recommendations and the issues they face in makeup and skincare," she shared. Diksha's journey from a makeup enthusiast to a thriving influencer reflects the power of passion, creativity, and perseverance. She continues to inspire and guide makeup enthusiasts worldwide through her captivating content. As we concluded the interview, I couldn't help but feel inspired by her story—a testament to the belief that following one's passion with determination can lead to fulfilling and successful ventures. Diksha Sachdev's success story is a reminder that authenticity and dedication stand out in the vast world of influencers and content creators. Her journey inspires aspiring makeup artists and content creators, showing them that with a touch of creativity and a sprinkle of confidence, they, too, can make a mark in the ever-evolving landscape of the beauty industry. So, remember Diksha's words of wisdom, whether you're an aspiring makeup artist or looking to delve into content creation. Find your passion, be true to yourself, and let your creativity shine. As Diksha Sachdev expands her horizons, we anticipate the magic she'll bring to our screens next. Until then, let's draw inspiration from her journey and embark on our own path to success. • Neon, Smoke, And Chili Fire: A Night In Bangkok’s Chinatown

By Shriniwas Kodape TRAVEL Neon, Smoke, And Chili Fire: A Night In Bangkok’s Chinatown By Shriniwas Kodape 2 September 2025 Advertisement Advertisement Advertisement The night air was thick enough to drink. Heat, smoke, and the smell of a thousand woks clung to your skin like a cheap shirt after a bar fight. Yaowarat Road didn’t ease you in, it pulled you under. Neon dripped down the facades of old shophouses, the glow bouncing off chrome pots, wet pavement, and the eyes of a crab stacked high in a steel tray. A woman in a faded apron stirred a pot the size of a manhole cover, her hands moving like she’d been doing it since before you were born. No smile, no sales pitch, just the quiet rhythm of someone who knows the food will do the talking. And it did. Garlic, soy, ginger sharp enough to wake the dead. Scooters screamed past, brushing the backs of your knees. You took it as the city’s way of reminding you who’s in charge. A kid no older than fifteen shoved a skewer of grilled pork into your hand before you could say no. Charred edges, fat dripping down your wrist, sweet and salty in the way only this part of the world understands. You didn’t bother asking the price. You kept moving. You had to. The crowd here didn’t slow down for anyone, not the tourists with their cameras, not the drunks stumbling out of karaoke bars, not even the monks in saffron robes moving like orange ghosts through the chaos. Dim sum carts hissed like angry cats. Stacks of bamboo baskets opened to reveal shrimp dumplings so fresh they might still have memories of the sea. Down an alley lit by a single bulb, a man with cigarette burns on his forearm poured beer into chipped mugs, the foam spilling over onto the table. You drank it anyway. Chinatown at this hour wasn’t a place, it was a fever. A living, sweating thing that didn’t care who you were, only that you showed up hungry and ready to be swallowed whole. By the time you hit the far end of the street, your shirt stuck to your back, your pockets were lighter, and your mouth burned with the sweet cruelty of chili. You stood there a moment, watching the smoke curl into the neon, knowing you’d come back not because you needed to eat, but because the night here doesn’t let you walk away clean. • Khushi Bhardwaj Is Growing Up On Screen, And Doing It Her Way

Khushi Bhardwaj Is Growing Up On Screen, And Doing It Her Way By Sakshi Shah Khushi Bhardwaj Is Growing Up On Screen, And Doing It Her Way 31 December 2025 COVER STORIES Advertisement Khushi Bhardwaj comes across exactly as she is curious, grounded, and comfortable in her own space. It’s a quality that reflects in the roles she chooses and the way she’s growing up on screen. There’s no rush to appear older or pressure to perform confidence louder than necessary. Instead, Khushi represents a new generation of actors who are learning in real time and letting experience shape them naturally. Her entry into acting wasn’t something she planned years in advance. In 2019, she was selected for a project that unexpectedly shifted the course of her life. Soon after, she moved from Delhi to Mumbai and stepped into a world she was only beginning to understand. At just 11 years old, everything felt sudden, but she moved forward with steady support from her family, especially her mother, who continues to play a key role in guiding her decisions. Over the years, Khushi has built a growing body of work across OTT platforms and films, with projects like Tiku Weds Sheru , Criminal Justice , 36 Days , and Baby John . Each role added something different to her journey, from understanding emotional depth to adapting to physically demanding shoots, allowing her to evolve quietly and consistently. One of her most formative experiences came with Tiku Weds Sheru . Watching Nawazuddin Siddiqui work up close gave her a deeper understanding of how instinct and improvisation shape a performance. Seeing scenes change in the moment taught her that acting isn’t about being perfect, but about being present and responsive. That understanding became especially important while working on Criminal Justice , a role that challenged her emotionally. The night before its release was filled with nerves and uncertainty. She worried about whether her portrayal would be understood the way it was intended. The response that followed, however, was overwhelming. Audiences connected with her performance, and the appreciation she received helped her trust her instincts and grow more confident in her choices. With Baby John , Khushi experienced the scale of big-screen cinema for the first time. Shooting across locations, adjusting to long schedules, and working in physically challenging conditions gave her a new perspective on filmmaking. Although she didn’t share many scenes with Varun Dhawan , what stayed with her was his warmth and humility on set, reinforcing her belief that success and kindness can go hand in hand. When it comes to preparing for a role, Khushi prefers to keep things simple. She spends time reading the script, giving herself space to understand the character rather than forcing emotion. She believes in keeping performances natural and letting small moments speak for themselves. Off screen, her personal style follows a similar approach. She prefers comfort over anything flashy, choosing relaxed silhouettes and easy outfits that allow her to move freely. Her style feels effortless and unfussy, reflecting the same ease she brings to her work. Despite her growing presence on screen, Khushi remains focused on balance. Academics are still a priority, and she chooses her projects carefully to avoid taking on too much at once. She openly acknowledges moments of self-doubt, often looking to directors for reassurance. For her, those moments are part of learning and improving, not something to be afraid of. Looking ahead, Khushi is open to exploring different genres. Action roles excite her, especially those involving adventure and physical challenges. At the same time, she’s drawn to strong, layered characters that allow emotional depth.
